It was going to be one of those days, at least thats what was running through Vyran's head. But then again one of those days could mean anything for him. The forbidden path was one well traveled by most and it was one where he felt it was his duty to guard. But the duty wasn't to anyone but himself. He hated trespassers and soon, he would be able to go against the very nation that held down this forest. A sigh escaped his lips as he rested in the trees, his two swords resting along his lower back like they always were.
He ran a hand through his hair and thought for a moment before shifting his position and looking to the ground below him. A sigh escaped the elf's lips as his mind began to wander. The sun was high in the sky, but it was hard to tell with the canopy of the trees causing it to be dark below him. The sound of many of the woods animals were in the air and it was almost music to his ears.

Vanima pulled the hood of her cloak further over her face. She travelled alone along the dark forest path, making her way towards Saleria. Her father had begged her to take an escort of guards, but she refused. Since her run in with the dwarves so many years ago, she had trained herself to never be caught unprotected.
She shifted in her saddle, revealing trouser clad legs. Hidden beneath her cloak was her twin daggers and her bow was attached at the side of her horse. The sounds of the forest made her smile, it was almost like being at home.

The patter of hooves beneath him, brought Vyran back to reality and he looked below him. There was what seemed to be a woman down there, coming through his path unguarded. It wasn't the best of moves on her part and he was definitely going to let her know. Quickly but silently, he sat up in the tree a bit, ready to leap down to the ground if the situation arose, but first he would use his voice to get the woman out of his forest.
“Girl, do you know where you are at? I am sure you have been warned about the dangers in this forest. And trust me, those dangers are real and you are staring right in the face of it.” His voice was aimed up towards the top of the trees, letting them echo his voice to the ground so that his position wouldn't be given up so quickly.

Vanima stopped when the voice rang out through the forest. She had to admit, it did spook her, but she was not afraid.... Ok she was afraid but she was not about to let it show. Her hands firmly on the reigns of her horse, she looked around.
"Of course I know of the dangers of travelling by myself." She spoke back, loud and clear, no trace of fear in her voice. "Why don't you show yourself and we'll see just how frightening you truly are!" She proclaimed, wanting to go for her daggers, but refused to reveal them just yet.

A smirk grew over the elf's lips as he heard the words of the woman. She did good at hiding her fear, but being as he was, he could tell when people were scared. “There's no need to show myself. I can smell your fear from up in these trees.” But of course, he was going to do the woman a favor and show himself by leaping down from the trees. Carefully he landed on the ground, next to the horse, his hood over his head but his hand on one of the swords on his lower back. “Do you still want to stick around and face the steel of my blade, or do you finally realize the err in your ways.”
Vyran would have no problem in introducing the woman to his sword, he had done it many times before and won't shy away from it now. It was all in the job that he held himself and he wouldn't shy down from anything. “If you choose the former, I can promise you that I will show no mercy.”

Vanima watched as the voice materialized infront of her. A rogue elf, she thought to herself, I was never one for rogues. "If I am to face the steel of your blade, then you shall taste the steel of mine." Vanima replied, hands itching to draw her blades. Her green eyes narrowed on the elf infront of her.
Her horse let out a snort, and pawed his hoof on the ground. "Easy Midnight," She soothed, stroking his mane while continuing to watch him. If she was going to be taken, she would atleast go down fighting, whether it be with her twins daggers or the dagger she had hidden in her boot. Should this rogue elf kill me, my father will have him hunted down, she mused to herself. "Now, I am not one for violence, but if you should push the point, I will respond with force." Vanima said confidently, pulling down her hood.

“Peace and diplomacy can only lead one down the path of destruction.” One of the rogue elf's hands began to twitch a bit as it sat next to his blade. The other was still planted on the ground, but soon the man stood up slowly to stand his entire frame. The woman seemed to be standing her ground, but that was for now. She still had the means to escape as long as she kept her horse in line. But all of that could be shattered in an instance and Vyran was done talking.
Quickly he drew one of his swords and slashed it towards the horse's hind legs. That blow should be enough to rear the horse, throwing the woman to the ground. Once she was on even grounds as him, that's when he would make his move towards the woman. There would be no more words coming from the mouth of the elf and from here on out he would let his blades do the talking. He offered the woman a chance to escape, gave her a warning and she refused, she was soon to see that he was being grateful in letting her run.

Watching him stand up, Vanima knew she was in for a fight, one she may not win. Then he slashed at her horse. Taking a deep breath, she felt Midnight rear and she stumbled backwards. Having anticipated her falling off, she managed to roll and land on her feet.
She looked up to face him, her green eyes holding a flame of fury. She stood up and tossed her cloak to the ground, revealing her well trained body. Her hair was already pulled up into a ponytail, revealing her butterfly tattoo on her neck. She reached back and pulled out both long daggers from her back holster. Giving them a twirl, she narrowed her eyes at the rogue elf. "Have you ever fought a female?"

The horse reared and the woman fell off, just as planned. Now it was really time to engage in combat. Once more, Vyran stood up slowly while looking to the woman. The cloak was dismissed and soon she brought out her choice of weapons. Two daggers, wouldn't be a bad choice, except that he had the range advantage. And despite the increased length, it usually never had an impact on his speed, but we could see now. A smirk grew over his lips and he decided that one sword would be fine for the time being.
His sword was brought in close to his body, the blade almost pointing to the woman as he dropped his back foot back. Then, almost as if her words were the trigger, his muscles released as his body shot out towards her. He was going to finish this fight with a single blow if it were up to him, and it almost seemed like it was. Vyran thrust his sword towards the woman's chest, hoping to pierce right through her and possibly cave her chest in with the force that was behind the action.

Vanima watched him lunge at her, and within seconds his blade was close to her chest. Taking a deep breath, she swung her two daggers infront of her, the metal of his sword clashing against the metal of her two blades. Although he was strong, she managed to hold the blade away, pushing against him. With all the strength she could gather, she pushed back against him. Hoping to cause him to faulter, she lifted her leg and aimed it right towards his groin.

The thrust was stopped and soon she was putting pressure against him. He started moving backwards a bit and then leapt backwards. Thats when he noticed the knee which had a specific home in mind. It was good that he decided to get out of there. She had repelled his first attack, this fight might actually be somewhat interesting. Vyran's eyes began to squint a little bit as he lowered his body once more, getting ready to attack. Then, like a snake, his body released and he jumped into the air, bringing his body and the sword down towards the top of the woman's head.
This could have had the possibility of leaving him defenseless, but seeing as the woman had struggled to push back his last attack, it was almost safe to assume, that if she hoped to push back this one as well, she would need both of her hands. And jumping in the air allows him to stay out of reach of her knee should she try the same counter once more. The closer he got the blade to the woman's head, the more of his own weight that he put behind the sword, making it that much harder for her to do anything about it.

Watching him move out the way, she grumbled, not having been able to strike where she had wanted. She watched him lunge at her again, this time aiming towards her head.
Not completely thinking, she rolled out of the way and picked herself up off the ground. She looked over at him and aimed a kick at the back of his leg.

Landing on the ground, Vyran looked out of the corner of his eye towards the woman and growled. So she decided to dodge not block. This left him slightly open for an attack and his sword was on the opposite side. Either he would quickly have to turn around or pull out his other sword. It would have been a waste to split his strength up in two, but it looked like it was going to be necessary. Then the woman sent a foot to the back of his leg. There wasn't enough time to deal with it and it was only a foot, so bending his knee slightly, the man took the kick and fell to a knee.
But as he was falling, the rogue's hand had already slid to his other sword and quickly drew it, with a slash towards the woman's throat which almost seemed like one move. Vyran was done playing with this 'princess' and hoped to end it right here. Her head would end up posted at the entrance to the path, as a warning for all who hoped to enter into his solitude.

Vanima's blade moved to block his other sword, cursing the fact that he had another sword. If only she could get to her horse to get her bow. She moved to roll again, this time towards Midnight. As she rolled, his blade managed to slice her arm.
Growling, she moved towards the horse, reaching to get her bow. This elf was a tough match, so instead of reaching for her bow, she reached for the reigns. She knew when to give up, and this was one of those times.

Blood now stained his sword, even if it was from her arm, it was the first blow of many more to come. Slowly, Vyran stood up and looked towards the woman as she rolled to her horse. Maybe she was getting the idea to leave his solitude, and the blood trails on the ground would prove as a warning to those who hope to enter in as well. But if she was just going to get another weapon off of her bow, Byran wasn't going to head back up into the trees just yet.
In fact, instead of standing there, waiting for her to attack, he went on the attack once more and pushed off his back foot to spring towards the elven woman once more. The rogue then brought one of his swords down hard, but it was only towards the side of the horse. If she wanted to escape, he would let her, but if she was going to hang around to fight, then he was going to finish this.
