Vanima had handed her horse off to the stable lads to clean him up. She was holding her cut arm, having wrapped it quickly with part of her sleeve. This was definitely not the way she wanted to look when presenting herself to the Saleria court. She cursed that rogue elf and made it a point to mention it to the High Priestess of Saleria that they had one roaming the forests.
"Hello? I'm looking for the High Priestess of Saleria..." She called out, taking in her surroundings. She had left her pack on her horse, but the lad had guaranteed her that it would be brought up to her room, as they were expecting her.

Helena stood atop the roof of the rocky cave and looked out over the silver lake with a frown on her face and a small sigh forming on her pinked lips. She had always been afraid of water yet she had no iidea why. Her long black cloak billowed out behind her in the light summer's breeze, she had her golden bow and arrows on her bag, a couple of knives in her boots and her hair was tied back into a tight braid that almost reached her waist. Helena had her eyes closed and had allowed her mind to wander to her past. Images flashed before her mind and she rocked lightly on the balls of her feet, almost as though she were in tune with the breeze.
A sudden movement behind her made her snap her head up and look around, eyes flickered open as she nodded to the boy infront of her who then began a short sypnosis of certain events that had just occured, with another nod of her head Helena jumped down from her position and ran through the forest quickly towards Saleria castle, the lad's sypnosis seemed important and it was Helena's duty as High Priestess to see to those kinds of things. She ran quickly and didn't waver her pace, soon she reached Saleria Castle and entered through the golden doors which had been opened by two Elves for her. She nodded her appreciation to them and walked briskly to the Hallways.
"Princess Vanima Wilwarne I presume?" Helena asked as she turned the corner of a hallway and came face to face with the elf who looked like she had been in a spot of trouble. Helena noted the bloody torn sleeve that had been wrapped around her arm and frowned at it, then she became a little stiff. "Something happen in the woods while you were making your way here?" She asked a little coldly as she looked the elf up and down, trying to assess her carefully.

Vanima jumped a little when Helena walked up behind her. She turned to face her, looking her up and down. So this was the High Priestess? She didn't look like much, but looks can always be decieving. Vanima herself was an example of that, if she was in a gown.
"Yes, and I pressume you are High Priestess Helena." She stated, just as cooly. If she was going to be received with hostility, she would return the hostility. "I ran into a rogue elf in the forest on the way here. He injured my horse as well as my arm. Fortunatly I knew how to take care of myself."

Helena almost smirked as she watched Princess Vanima jump as she sneaked up behind her, you see Helena had a habit of doing that and she rather enjoyed it to be perfectly honest, it was something that she had picked up at a young age ever since Keaira had disappeared. Everyone had dubbed her with the nickname of "Hell" and it suited her just fine, especially because of her personality. She smiled lightly at the elf in front of her and noted that she was throwing back the hostility. Helena shook her head lightly and looked her in the eyes carefully. Steely gray eyes shining brightly.
"Your presumption is correct." Helena replied with a polite sort of nod of her head. Then she heard of the run in that Vanima had had with a rogue elf in the forest and she smiled, that could only have been one elf she knew. Vyran. "Such a most unfortunate event to be sure." Helena narrowed her eyes and moved her gaze from Vanima to the wall next to her. "That may be so, but do you not think that maybe one of our healers should take a look at it, just to be on the safe side?" Helena smiled.

"Yes, seeing a healer would be most welcome." Vanima sighed. She was here to help, not to hinder. "It is a very beautiful castle you have, High Priestess." She smiled, looking around again. Maybe it had a library. She would love that, just to sit when she was not needed and read about Saleria.
Shaking her head, she looked back at Helena. "I believe we got off on the wrong foot. I am Princess Vanima Wilwarne, only child of King Tharanduil Wilwarne. I am here to help with the council in any way possible." Not to mention find Chase, she added to herself.

Somewhat stiffly once again Helena narrowed her eyes at the elf in front of her and held back a sigh which she swallowed rather reluctantly as she moved her gaze from the wall back to Vanima, her steely grey eyes boring deep into the Princess' again trying to study her carefully. "Thank you Princess Wilwarne." She did not want to use Vanima's first name as it probably would have been rude on her part if she did.
"I believe we did." She did not smile, it was on rare occasions that Helena smiled geniunely, even if she had been smiling a few moments before, they had been rough and almost forced in their way. "I am High Priestess Helena Saleria, last of the Saleria Kin." She did not bow, that would have been a little weird for her. Helena nodded at the elf in understanding.

Vanima surpressed a laugh as Helena called her princess. "Please, call me Vanima. Princess Vanima is saved for court." She said courtiously, nodding her head in respect to Helena. "Anyways, I am injured, and still slightly worked up after that run in with that rogue." She sighed, shaking her head.
"I wish right now to clean up, get myself fixed up and go let out a bit of steam." She smiled, adjusting the straps of her holster. "You wouldn't by chance have any practice grounds would you?" She inquired, wondering how much Helena would know of Chase, if anything at all.

Helena almost frowned as she watched Vanima's facial expression change from a warm smile to somthing of a stifling right before her very eyes. "Ah, but since you are of a somewhat higher status than myself it would therefore be rude on my part if I do not call you Princess." Helena did not smile, she hardly smiled anymore not since Keaira had disappeared when the two of them had been two years old.
"I see." Helena placed her hands behind her back and interlocked her fingers, so that she was giving off the impression that she was rocking back and forth on the balls of her feet. "I can take you to the Healers or I can send for one when we are in the practice grounds, or we can stop off by the bathrooms and clean you up there. Which would you prefer?" Helena brought her hands back round to the front of her body and narrowed her eyes.

"As I have said, I do not care much for formalities unless it is in court." Vanima said, a smile crossing her face again. Helena was going to take some adjusting to. She then looked at her arm, assessing the gravity of her injury.
"I suppose I can wash it up along the way to the grounds." Vanima stated, knowing she wasn't terribly injured and a scar wasn't much of a problem to her. "So, who, um, trains your warriors?" She inquired, as innocently as she could. She knew Chase was one of the trainers.

Helena merely nodded as a sign to show that she understood and again she did not smile, it had to be something very good before she smiled, or even smirked for that matter and this just wasn't one of those things. She noticed that Vanima was looking at her arm and raised her eyebrow in a sort of judgement, the arm was injured and it needed to be seen to, although Vanima had done a good job of patching it up herself.
At least it wouldn't scar, Helena couldn't quite imagine a princess with a scar, although she herself had several different scars and the one on her neck was 'flashing' and she had to shake her head to let her hair cover it so as not to worry Vanima about it. "The Elagen brothers, the Elders and sometimes myself." She said, turning so that they could walk.

Vanima nodded as she listened to Helena. Noting that Helena was looking at her injury, she merely shrugged. "My mother used to be a healer, so I know basic stitching up. I would still prefer to see someone just to make sure that it is not infected." She said, looking at her injury as well.
"The Elagen brothers?" She inquired innocently. "Chase and..." She thought for a moment, Chase had mentioned his brother before. "Tor." She said, finally remembering his name. She watched Helena quickly hide something with her hair, but figured it was Helena's business, not hers.

"Understandable." Helena nodded as she was turning around, she really wasn't in the habit of letting people see her scars but sometime it just couldn't be helped and she hoped that they would be kind enough to not question her about it. She was glad that Vanima hadn't said anything about it, as it would be difficult to explain and she was in no mood to do so. She still didn't smile as they walked down the halls at a set pace.
"Yes, the Elagen brothers, they are good teachers and know their training well." She stopped once she realised that Vanima wasn't following her and turned around with a slight wince, she was walking with a slight limp but hoped that it wasn't noticeable. "Well, come along then." She all but snapped as she whirled back around, hair flying about her shoulders as she clasped her hands together and began to walk again.

Vanima snapped out of her day dreaming when Helena snapped at her. She hurried to follow Helena and caught up to her. "Sorry, just thinking." She mumbled, looking at Helena. This woman was hard and almost stone like, but she was sure there was a pleasant person somewhere under that exterior.
"Yes, Chase is a very good trainer." She replied, nodding her head. She had never met Tor, but she assumed that if he was anything like his brother, then he would be a good trainer as well.

While waiting for Vanima to come after her and snap out of her daydream Helena moved her hair about a little and settled it so that it hung over one shoulder completely covering the scar that she had there, prehaps she would allow Vanima a flash of the scar when the time came for it but she had decided that now was not the time, once that was done she let her hands fall back to her sides and clasped them once again as she waited for Vanima to catch up with her.
"Sorry, was just thinking." Came the Princess' reply as she caught upto Helena and the two of them set off down the hallway towards the Healers grounds and then after that they would set off to the practice grounds and spar. The silence that had been was broken when Vanima spoke once again. "Yes, Chase is a very good trainer." Helena this time managed to crack a small smile but it was so small that it may not have been noticeable. "He is indeed."

Vanima caught up to Helena and managed to keep up with her. So Helana knew Chase... She wondered how well though. Suddenly, Vanima was stricken with a dread that Chase and Helena were possibly together, or betrothed. She took a gulp of air, attempting to push that thought out of her mind.
"How well do you, uh, know Chase?" she inquired, worrying her lower lip, looking over at Helena. She was hoping that Helena would think it an innocent question. She couldn't stand the thought of Chase being with someone else. Resigning herself to that possibility, Vanima would perserver and take her proper place in the council.
