The trees seemed to move, there branches twisted and turned in intricate formations, casting a netting over the ground. The way was dark, gloomy, shadows danced in agonising shapes across the ground. Those who had smelt it before would recognise it as the stench or rotting flesh, the stench of death and the lack of wind made it settle.
And that is where the cursed one walked, her footsteps falling softly on the ground as she walked. In one hand was the bow, an arrow notched as she walked forwards, her brown eyes darting around wildly as she stepped. What she was tracking exactly was unknown to her, only that this creature was dangerous and didn't belong. It scared her, if she was totally hoist with her cool heart, but she would never let that fear cream to the surface. It was too dangerous...
So the cursed one lowered the bow slowly and crouched down on the floor, looking at the tracks. Letting the string fall limp, she crouched over slightly and touched the damp ground. Completely in to what she was doing, she sniffed the mud, trying to understand what she was smelling, completely unaware of what was around her.

Sitting in the trees above the path, a man was there, watching the path below him. This was his forest as far as he was concerned and he was going to keep everyone else out. His twin swords were sheathed over his lower back and he thought for a moment before looking to the ground once more. Thats when he saw a woman with a bow and arrow. Almost looked like a human, maybe hunting something. But these were his woods and he wasn't going to let anyone else hunt, especially unafraid.
Soon he began speaking towards the tree tops, letting the canopy echo his words to the ground below. “You are trespassing. You don't belong here and you should turn around. The fears that they speak of are true and you don't belong here.” His hand was already reaching towards his sword and quietly but quickly he was sitting up in the trees, ready to leap down if the woman didn't leave. Perhaps he was a rogue, but these were his woods, his and his alone. He didn't pledge allegiance to anyone.

Almost in an animal like way, the woman's head tilted to the side as the voice spoke. Granted, she was unused to hearing a voice seemingly come out of know were- she hadn't seen the elf yet- and of course it made her slightly edgy... but she let herself become calm as she looked up and directly ahead at the forest, however her eyes searched around for the mysterious speaker.
“Many things do not belong in this forest, stranger... I am one of them... but what I track is also another creature that does not belong,” her words where soft but held a coolness, a commanding tone to them. She was not a woman to be messed with. Very slowly, she put down the bow, and stood up, her hand going to the long hunting knife on her belt. She held it with a calm hand, ready to defend herself from this mysterious speaker. “Show yourself,” she said smoothly.

The woman slowly went to grab the knife and Vyran knew that she was in for a tough fight if she decided to stay. And from her words, it sounded like she was going to. Once more, he spoke up into the trees, his voice having an eerie tone to it. “You have chosen your fate human. Now you shall taste the steel of my blade.” As his words ended, the elf leaped from the trees and landed on the ground next to the woman in a crouched position. One of his hands was one the hilt of one of his swords while his other hand was planted on the ground.
Then almost as if it was one moment, he unsheathed the sword, slashed at the waist of the woman and stood up straight looking her in the eye. She would know who she was messing with, it was just unfortunate that she was going to die before she told anyone. He used the full length of his sword, which should have put him well out of reach of the knife that she had, and she was in no position to grab her bow and use it.

As he slashed at her waist, Angelika took a step back in surprise, making a small gasp as she looked down at herself. The slash had been stalled by the leather protection that she wore, however it was designed to stop animal teeth... not a sword. So when she touched the slice softly, and looked down at her fingers, at the crimson blood, the anger filled her eyes as she looked up at him. “Bad idea, elf,” she growled.
Standing up straight, she brushed herself off calmly and plucked a strey leaf that had fallen into her hair and let it flutter to the floor as she watched the elf. Straightening up, she produced another hunting knife, off eqil length to the first. With one knife in each hand, she took a step back and circled the elf coolly, eyes never leaving him. She really was wild at heart.

The sword was now stained by the blood of the woman, first blood had been shed but it wasn't going to be the only blood. Slowly he brought the blade to his mouth and licked the blood off of the blade before running his finger over it and drawing a line over his eye with whatever blood was left over on the blade. The woman then begun to taunt him and brought out another knife. So this was going to be a fun fight and he brought the sword down in front of him, so the blade was aiming towards the woman
But the circling of the woman made it a stupid idea to rush in, so that meant he had to be on the defensive. His sword lowered down to his side and he crouched down slightly, dropping his other hand back to rest on the hilt of his other sword. She wanted to use two weapons, he could do the same thing if he needed to, but as of yet, he didn't feel it to be necessary. His eyes followed the woman as he turned slowly to keep her in front of him.

Angelika watched the elf before her try and follow her so that she was in front off him, she she slowed her pace down as she watched him. She was calm and the fact that she had been the first wounded would have made any normal woman step back and rethink. But Angelika was far from a normal human being. Slightly insane some may say, she was not one for listening to reason.
Without warning, however, she stopped, and just stared at him for a few long moments, her eyes analysing and calculating as she watched him. Without a second hesitation, she suddenly crouched slightly, looking at him calmly. “Do you really want to fight me elf?” she said icily as she tilted her head to the side. Human she was, but something in her voice said that death would be welcome.

Following the woman still, Vyran stopped as soon as she did. Then she turned to him and began taunting him some more. A grin grew over the lips of the elf as he dropped his back leg a bit, coiling up like a snake. His free hand left the hilt of his sword and he sprung out towards the woman. His sword lifted over his head and soon came down quickly at the shoulder of her. If she wanted to taunt him, he was going to have fun cutting her up until there was nothing left.
After the slice, his free hand dropped back to the hilt of the sheathed sword once more, in case she happened to defend and counter attack all in the same move. He knew what he was doing and the pause that she gave was just what he needed to plan out his next few moves.

Angelika didn't try to block the slice that hit her shoulder, however all it seemed to do was irritate her more as she formed her own plan off attack, taking two steps backwards. And changing her stance slightly. The forest seemed to have quietened as the cold creature, who was proberly as stubborn as the one she was facing, planned her attack.
Without so much as a forewarning, she uncoiled like a a spring, the blade in her left hand suddenly crashing into the drawn blade, moving it aside so she could bring her whole body forwards, putting weight into her attack. The right blade made a slicing motion below the ribs, before she darted back, crouched in an almost animal like way, avoiding the sheathed blade. She looked up at him calmly, knowing it had been a clumsy attack, but happier about evening the odds.

More blood was shed from the woman and the rogue was having fun playing with his playmate. But soon there was a knife coming for his ribs and he couldn't do anything about it. His sword was dug into the ground and the other sword was being blocked off by the other knife. Growling a bit, Vyran could only turn a bit so it was only a slight cut. But soon he leaped back once more, bringing his sword with him once more. His fingers ran through the blood on the sword and he made another line over his other eye before making both lines longer.
The woman was definitely brave, but her bravery would ultimately end up in her downfall. The elf stepped back a bit more before unsheathing his other sword, now having both of them out with a grin across his lips. Soon he lunged at her once more, one sword slashing at her throat while the other was slashing at her waist once more. In his mind he was either going to cut her in half or cut her head off.

What was she thinking about? What were the thoughts going through her head as she thrust her knife out towards his ribs? Angelika tried not to think about it, she just wanted to hit him and make him pay for his earlier actions, the ones where he had first managed to cut her waist and then after that her shoulder, she needed just revenge for them, no more of her blood would be shed tonight, not if she could help it. But she didn't bank on him slashing away again, this time aiming at her throat with one sword and... wait a minute... He has two swords now?? Angelika blinked causing her to misjudge her footing as she used the forward momentum to...To heck with it. She almost cried out in desperation as she aimed her first hunting knife at the oncoming sword near her neck, brushing it away with ease, and at the last moment pushed herself as low as she could go to the ground while sticking out her left foot in attempts at tripping him up. The blade of his sword ripping her sleeve slightly but not tearing skin.

The top sword was knocked away while the other ripped through clothing but nothing else. Soon there was a foot heading towards his own. Taking the foot, Vyran smiled slightly as he had already begun to fall down. But as he was falling, he sent both of his swords towards the woman. One was headed towards her shoulder, while the other one was aimed at the extended leg. If she wanted to continue her reckless actions towards him, he was going to make her pay.
The rogue then quickly got to his feet and spun his swords around in his hand and grinned a bit as if he was challenging the woman to come at him again with another futile attempt to cut him. She had got him once, and that’s all that she was going to get. Tonight, he decided, he was going to bathe in the blood of the woman who foolishly entered into his forest.
