Tor walked slowly through the trees towards the small stable. The path he was taking was a forest one, one that would get him there later than he wanted, but it was better looking. Gave you more time to think. His dark black curls hung over his face, touching his eyelashes and hiding his eyes.
Stopping before a large oak tree, he looked up at it, watching its branches. This tree was sacred. His height had been marked here for every one hundred years of his life. Right now, the marks were so far up that you couldn't even see them. Smirking, he kept walking, sword clapping against his back. Picking up his pace, he began to run, arms and legs pumping.
Stopping at the stables, he waved to the men in the ring, watching them practice combat on horseback. Entering the stables, a dark chestnut horse neighed from the back, his hazel eyes rolling in excitement. Laughing, Tor hurried to him before the stallion could break out of his stall. Touching his face, he smoothed down the hairs.
Taking the stallion from his stall, Tor walked him outside of the stables and began to groom him down. The tools he used weren't high class, just a simple brush and comb, and a knife for picking out rocks from his hooves. Patting the stallions back, Tor stood up and stretched.
Ready to go Sverick? Grinning, he jumped onto the horse's back and Sverick reared, legs pawing the air. Off at a run, the two whizzed by the corral and into the forest again to run on the path.

Vanima trotted along the path with Midnight. It was the first full ride she planned to take with him since the run in with the rogue elf. Taking a deep breath, she looked around the forest trail enjoying the outdoors. Stroking his mane, she urged him on to a canter.
She let her mind wander as she rode, mainly to Chase. They had admitted their love for each other and spent a blissful day together before watching the stars. A smile crossed her lips remembering their passionate union. She was shaken out of her revery when she heard hooves coming up fast behind her.
