The eerie sounds of the forest was strangely comforting for Vyran as he sat near the lake, washing his blades off in the water. Downstearm the water had an obvious red tinge as the rogue elf snapped his arms, to dry the blades off. Soon afterwards, he sheathed his swords once more and walked down the shore line for a bit and cupped his hands, dipping them in the water and taking a sip or two.
Slowly the eyes of the man looked around the lake before looking back towards the deer he had just finished killing. Sitting on one knee, Vyran pulled the dagger from his boot and began to skin the deer. He knew the sounds around the lake would usually be enough to keep people away so that he could do what he needed to do in peace. Over his face were lines of blood, a ritual that he usually performed after a hunt or a kill.

Strangely Helena had been drawn to the lake by haunting visions and eerie voices in her mind, she was usually afraid of any kind of large open space of water yet here she was at the lake walking in a kind of trance, but was soon stopped as she neared the waters edge, right next to a man performing some kind of ritual. Helena wasn't aware of him. She wasn't aware of anything at that moment in time.
Soon the haunting images and eerie voices dispersed and she was aware of things around her now, with a slow movement of her head Helena looked to her right and took in the scene before her steely grey eyes, she tried to supress a shudder but it didn't work and she opened her mouth, which let out a gasp as she stiffened.

Hearing a gasp, Vyran slowly looked to his left and glanced to the woman before turning his face forward once more. The woman that he saw looked familiar, but he couldn't exactly put a name with the face. But it didn't matter at that point. He was almost done with his ritual and soon ran his fingers up his arms, smearing the blood once more. Finally the deer was skinned and the rogue began to use the lake water to rinse off his body from the blood.
Thinking for a moment, Vyran began to scoop water from the lake to wash off the skinned deer. Once that was finished, he rinsed his knife in the water and stood up, getting ready to leave the lake side. All that was left was for him to cook the deer meet and food will be ready for the rest of the day.

Seeing his face, Helena reconised him, but like him she could not put a name to his face for it had been a rather long time since they had last met and it had been a meeting that both would have done well to forget, especially after what had happened. Narrowing her eyes she watched what he was doing carefully and her facial expression turned from cold to disgusted.
Once he was finished Helena was curious as to who he was, what he had just done and why he had just done what he did. But first thing first, she had to ask one important question. "I do hope that that deer was dead before you found it." She whispered, her voice carrying in the wind as she leant her head to one side and looked down at the elf.

Vyran already had grabbed the deer by its hind legs and began dragging it away before he heard the voice of the woman. Stopping, he never turned around, but he slid his free hand down to one of the blades that rested on his lower back. “So what if it wasn't?” There was an almost eerie tone to the rogues voice and after his words, he began to walk once more. He had no intentions of talking to the woman any more, nor did he have any intentions on fighting this woman any. He was hungry and he had his food in his hands, so he was going to go prepare his food.
There was still something that bothered him about her though. She seemed familiar, but since he couldn't remember where he knew her from, he was just going to dismiss that fact and keep it out of his mind. There was no point on dwelling something that couldn't be helped with there were more pressing issues on hand.

Helena frowned at the man as he picked up the deer by it's hind legs and began to walk away, he hadn't even answered her question, so she was about to open her mouth and repeat herself, something that she hated doing, when finally he answered her in a tone that suggested he didn't care, or was just giving her the cold shoulder, either way Helena was definately not going to stand for that. She frowned again.
But the voice was oddly familiar and something made her want to stop him in his tracks as he continued to walk away from her, it seemed that he was hungry and she wasn't about to go interrupt his meal until sudden realisation dawned on her and Helena stopped him with her voice. "Vyran Tidale." was all she had to say, plus, it was all that she was going to say.

Almost out of hearing range, Vyran heard his name called out by the woman and he stopped dragging the deer once more. There was only one person alive that knew his name, and he was almost sure that that one person wouldn't come out to the lake. Taking a deep breath, the elf dropped his meal and turned around slowly, crossing his arms over his chest. “This better be important. I am hungry and you are holding me up from my meal.”
Once more his voice had an eerie ring to it but he was now looking towards the woman. So thats why she looked familiar, she was that one person that knew his name and lived to tell about it. Now she was interfering with his meal and he wouldn't give up next time should they fight again.

Surely she couldn't be the only person, elf, dwarf, faerie, creature alive that knew his name and lived to tell the tale of it. Helena frowned, of course she was, Vyran had a habit of killing anyone and everything that had stood in his way without saying anything to them. He surely was a weird sort of elf, always alone, always fighting, something Helena had found curious about him all those years ago after they had been locked in a deadly battle with each other.
She did not smile as he turned around to face him, nor did she smirk when he stated that she was interrupting his meal. It was rare of Helean to smile or smirk in the presence of company, she did, however take a few steps forward so that she was in swords length of him if so happened to take up another fight with her. Then she shrugged.

His eyes never left the woman, though they began to squint slightly. His hand began twitch slightly but soon he shook his head and turned around, picking up the deer once more and walking off. “You know you aren't going to do about it, Helena. So just go back home.” His words lost the eerie feeling to them, but they remained cold. He still had no interest in holding a conversation with this woman and it was a wonder that he still let her live. He hadn't attacked her this time, and since those years ago, he hadn't seen her.
They engaged in battle once and she actually lived to tell the tale. Since that time, he had lived his life on the run more so than he had previously. He then stopped to think for a moment before dragging the deer a little more, heading towards his own clearing so he could start a fire and cook the meat.

Helena shrugged again then opened her mouth to retort back to him. "What if I do not want to go back home?" She asked him as he bent down to pick up his deer and turn around slowly so that he could walk away from her. She had no intentions of fighting him and she was beginning to find it a bore being at home in Saleria castle all the time. Her mind wandered for a few moments before she realised that had he sort of disappeared into the thickest of the trees.
She knew that he had a clearing behind there and briefly wondered if she should follow him into his clearing or not. For a few moments she stood where she was, almost grounded to the spot as it were, until a voice in her head urged her to move and go to him, afterall, she had taken an interest in him and would like to get to know him some more. Helena let her feet follow him to the clearing.

Disappearing into the woods, Vyran finally got out of ear shot from the woman and would be clear to eat his meal now. Thinking for a bit the rogue realized that there was no point in thinking about it too much. Finally he reached his clearing and dropped the deer towards the edge of it. Next he gathered up some of the fire wood he left laying around and piled them up. Next he grabbed a pack that he had hidden after looking around quickly and pulled out his flint and tinder, placing them with the fire wood and started a fire.
Satisfied with the way his fire was burning, Vyran walked towards the deer and dragged it towards the fire. There were stakes in the ground around the fire and the deer was placed upon the stakes as Vyran sat down, staring at the food, making sure he doesn't burn it.

Helena's feet followed him slowly as they tried not to make any noise with the branches on the ground and the rustling leaves that were falling, it was almost impossible to not draw attention to herself, but she somehow managed it and soon found that her feet had stopped her in the shadows as she hid behind a tree.
Standing back from him a little way so that she did not draw attention to herself until she wanted to, Helena watched what he was doing carefully, she did not really care if the deer had been dead before he had skinned it, she never really did like animals, they always seemed to get in her way before. She knew that he probably knew that she was there, but she wasn't doing anything harmful... yet...

A pair of eyes were on him, the eyes had been on him since the lake and he knew who they belonged to. As long as she stayed out of his way and didn't bother him, he would let her be. After a little bit, he stood up and grabbed the head of the deer, rolling it over slightly over the fire. Then before going to sit down, he glanced back towards the woods, where Helena was, just so she knew that he knew that she was there. He then grabbed his bladder full of water and took a drink from it before unsheathing one of his swords and taking a flat stone to it to sharpen it.
While sharpening his sword, Vyran's eyes would occasionally look up in the direction of Helena but soon drop down to the sword. Finally he sheathed the sword once more and pulled the deer off the fire, pulling out his knife once more to cut a piece of meat off. Taking a bite from it, he nodded slowly and sat next to the cooked deer meet, keeping to himself and eating.

Obviously he knew that she was there and this made her smile a little more. Helena continued to watch him carefully and looked around her trying to find a place that she could sit down while she watched him, and also get as far away from the water as she could, it was taunting her, it sounded stupid, but it was true. She hated the water and it always taunted her.
After having looked around for a few more moments Helena found a small spot just to the right of her that consisted of a rock covered in moss, she glanced at Vyran as he unsheathed his sword and crossed to the rock, she pulled her cloack around her and sat down, looking over at him as he sheathed the sword once more and began to eat.
Now she knew the reason as to why she didn't like meat.

Eating slowly, Vyran diverted his attention away from Helena for the time being. But finally once he got his fill, he cut up the remainder of the deer and scattered it in the woods. It was another ritual that he did. There were creatures in these woods that would be appreciative for what the elf had done for them and in turn they left his clearing alone. He thought for a moment before glancing towards Helena and turning his back towards her while putting his things away and hiding everything. Finally he was done and just had his two swords on him and his dagger.
Vyran then glanced towards Helena before walking out of the other end of the clearing back into the woods. If it were up to him, he would end up circling back towards the lake, seeing how she was reacting while she was close to it. She wasn't herself and he was going to use that against her to keep her away from him. He wanted nothing to do with her, and her presence alone was almost as if she was taunting him for her still being alive.
